Originally from Dothan, AL, Chris Blackwood is both a Civil Engineer and a studio and plein air artist. Specializing in pet and human portraits, along with beach scenes to cityscapes and pastures, he creates a wide range of artwork. Chris is self-taught and works in various mediums such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic, and oils. The emotion his pieces capture is unmistakable. Chris is a member of the Eastern Shore Art Center and The Fairhope Plein Air Artists, and his work can be found on Facebook at Art by Bwood.
